Think of others while using a cannon. Try to use the least crowded area or world you can find so you aren't disrupting the play of others. This also helps you avoid confrontations from less mature players.

RuneScape Moderators

1.0 [ Introduction ]

RuneScape is a game that, like pretty much every other game in the world, has rules. And with those rules come the enforcers. In tennis, there is an umpire. If you consider life a game, there is policemen. In RuneScape, there are a select group of trustworthy people called moderators.

======================

1.0 [ About Moderators ]

Moderators, or Mods, are players and workers that JaGeX has picked out to be trustworthy, responsible and law-abiding, and made into the law-enforcers of the game. They can mute people if they are swearing and report them (with first priorities). JaGeX moderators can in extreme cases even ban them from logging into the game with that account. There are two types of moderators, both with different powers. Player Moderators, and JaGeX moderators. We'll cover them next.

======================

3.0 [ Player Moderators ]

Player Moderators are the first type of moderators we're going to talk about. There are two big differences between Player Mods and JaGeX Mods. First of all, Player Mods are normal people like you and I that have been proven by specialised staff at JaGeX to be trustworthy and law-abiding folk, whereas JaGeX Mods have been given a job at JaGeX in England. Second is the powers. Player Mods have the power to mute people who have been swearing a lot and their abuse reports are considered very high priority. You can tell a normal person from a Player Mod by the little silver crown next to their name, like the mods on our forums. They look like this:

4.0 [ JaGeX Moderators ]

JaGeX Moderators are the next type of moderator. As I said in the last paragraph, there are a couple of big differences between JaGeX and Player Mods. First of all, JaGeX Mods have a lot more power than the Player Mods, as the actually work in JaGeX headquarters and they have the power to ban people. Yes, they can stop an account entirely from logging in for a period of time, whether it be for one hour or forever. Another big difference is they are actually being paid for their time. You can tell a JaGeX Mod from anybody else by the gold crown next to their name, like the administrators on our forum. They look like this:

5.0 [ Becoming a Moderator ]

There are two ways to become a moderator. One of them is to be the best player you can be, follow the rules and report abuse when you see it. The other way is to fly to England and get a job at JaGeX. JaGeX will NEVER make you a Player Mod if you ask them to. Even if they have been following how you do for two years, asking will automatically put you out of the running. You'll have to start all over again, or continue, knowing you'll never be a Mod.

6.0 [ Frequently Asked Questions ]

Q: Someone told me that they were a Mod, but they didn't have their crown yet. Should I believe them?

A:
- No. There is no such thing as a Mod without a crown. As so as the user has agreed to becoming a Mod, they get their crown. Without it, they have no powers.

Q: Do you get paid for modding?

A:
- Only if you're a JaGeX Mod (with a gold crown)..

Q: 1 W4N7 T0 BEEZ0RZ A M0D!!!1!!!11

A:
- Well try and speak legibly. You're more likely to become a Mod if people can understand what you're saying..
